All assets must be on the Base network before you can deposit them into Tapioca. Assets on Ethereum mainnet or other chains will not appear in your Tapioca balance.
Step 1 — Fund your smart account
Before you deposit into a yield strategy, your Tapioca smart account needs a balance on Base. Choose one of the methods below depending on where your funds currently are.From Coinbase exchange (recommended)
Log in to Coinbase
Open coinbase.com or the Coinbase mobile app and navigate to your portfolio.
Initiate a withdrawal
Select the asset you want to send (e.g., USDC or ETH) and click Send / Withdraw.
Choose the Base network
When prompted to choose a network, select Base. Withdrawals from Coinbase to Base are free and near-instant.
From another network (bridging)
If your funds are on Ethereum mainnet or another chain, you need to bridge them to Base first.Go to a bridge
Use the official Base bridge at bridge.base.org or a third-party bridge like Stargate for cross-chain transfers.
Select your source chain and asset
Choose the chain where your funds currently reside and select the asset you want to bridge.
Set Base as the destination
Select Base as the destination network and paste your Tapioca smart account address as the recipient.
Step 2 — Deposit into a yield strategy
Once your smart account has a balance on Base, you are ready to deposit.Select an asset
Choose the asset you want to deposit. Tapioca supports assets including USDC, ETH, and cbETH on Base.
Enter an amount
Type the amount you want to deposit. There is no minimum deposit required. Use the Max button to deposit your full available balance.
Review and confirm
Check the displayed strategy details and estimated yield rate, then click Confirm Deposit. The transaction is gasless — no ETH is deducted for fees.
