Tapioca removes the usual friction of DeFi onboarding. Instead of installing a wallet extension or safeguarding a seed phrase, you sign in with your email address. Behind the scenes, Privy creates an embedded smart account for you on Base — ready to earn yield the moment you log in. If you already have an external wallet like MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet, you can connect that instead.
Tapioca runs exclusively on the Base network (Coinbase’s L2). Make sure any funds you plan to deposit are already on Base before you begin.
Sign in with email
Go to tapioca.money
Open tapioca.money in any modern browser. No extension installation is needed. Click Sign In
Select the Sign In button in the top-right corner of the page.
Enter your email address
Type your email address into the field and press Continue. Tapioca sends you a one-time passcode (OTP) or magic link — check your inbox.
Verify your email
Open the email from Tapioca and either:
- Enter the 6-digit OTP on the sign-in screen, or
- Click the magic link to be taken back to the app automatically.
Your smart account is ready
Tapioca automatically provisions an ERC-4337 smart account for you via Privy. Your account address appears in the top-right corner of the app once you are connected.
Connect an external wallet (optional)
If you prefer to use an existing wallet, Tapioca supports that too.
Click Sign In
Select Sign In from the top-right corner.
Choose your wallet
Select Connect Wallet from the sign-in options and choose your wallet provider (e.g., MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect).
Approve the connection
Confirm the connection request in your wallet extension or mobile app. Your wallet address will appear in the top-right corner once connected.
Even when connecting an external wallet, Tapioca uses session keys and a smart account layer to keep your experience gasless and smooth. You won’t need to approve every individual transaction.
